Discharge - during your stay, your doctor, nursing staff and if applicable, other healthcare professionals, will have ongoing discussions with you to help you plan your discharge. Should you have any concerns with your discharge planning please discuss with your nurse. If you require community services post discharge, the nursing staff will arrange these for you. Please note, discharge time is at 10am.
Discharge at Own Risk - You may discharge yourself from the hospital at any time. This may be a serious step when taken against the advice of your doctor and requires careful consideration. You are encouraged to discuss the implications of this with your doctor and nursing staff. If you decide to discharge yourself against advice, you will be required to sign a form disclaiming the hospitals responsibility for your action. |
