The role of the Consumer Representative at Essendon is to attend to the issues, concerns, complaints and/or suggestions for improvements – however big or small. The representative will advocate on behalf of the patients in line with their rights and responsibilities. This is a unique role held by a person who has a first hand understanding of mental health issues and inpatient facilities through personal experience.
