Your hospital admission will be arranged by your treating doctor. They will inform you of the day that you will need to come to hospital. On the day of your admission, please visit the front reception located at the main entrance. At Essendon, we aim to ensure that your stay is as comfortable and beneficial as possible.
Please note, registered therapy/assistant dogs are welcome in our facility!
Essendon Private Clinic offers 32 comfortable private rooms, each with an ensuite. There is also one shared room available. Please ensure that you bring any toiletries you require with you.
All of our rooms are equipped with televisions, air conditioning and nurse call facilities. Lounge rooms, dining rooms, craft and therapy rooms, outdoor courtyards, gardens and recreational facilities are provided to cater for your therapeutic and recreational needs.
The hospital is committed to providing healthy food choices using fresh ingredients. The catering team prepare high quality meals daily that are nutritional and well balanced, with several choices available for each meal. The menu is regularly reviewed by dieticians to ensure it meets the highest nutritional standards.
For the comfort of the patients and visitors, we ask that you are not to smoke in the hospital grounds, aside from the designated courtyard area.
Please do not bring your car to hospital. Driving while you are an inpatient is not permitted by the hospital. If you have brought your car, we are unable to offer parking for patients. If you have your car parked on the premise, you
will be charged $50 per week.
Tram and bus routes are located on Keilor Road and Rosehill Road, both a short walk to and from the hospital. Please refer to the Public Transport Victoria website for further information on bus routes and schedules.
